Meet Your Doula

Hello! I’m Alejandra or Alex. I am a compassionate, informed and inclusive Full Spectrum Doula who provides holistic and educational support across the entire spectrum of reproductive experiences.

My identity and beliefs system shapes my practice as a gentle and empathetic guide who seeks to support each person in achieving their ideal birth experience, while honoring the sacredness of this profound life transition.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to create space that allows my clients to show up vulnerably and authentically as they embark on the transformative journey that is pregnancy, birth, postpartum and parenthood.

I believe children are not only our future but our present. I believe in our collective responsibility to care for and protect children, the most vulnerable people in our community. In order to support children we must support parents and families.

I am an advocate of Reproductive Justice. Reproductive Justice is defined as the human right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, have children, not have children, and parent the children we have in safe and sustainable communities.

My work and studies reflect my passion for supporting families, parents and children's health and wellbeing through different life stages. I have worked in childcare for over 10 years and I am currently a student at Georgia State University studying Human Learning and Development. I received my Full Spectrum Doula certification in 2021 through Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings. My birth work education and practice has a foundation of anti-oppression, inclusivity, accessibility, cultural humility, community connection and healing.

My practice is deeply rooted in BIPOC-centered and LGBTQ-centered care, disability justice, and airborne illness awareness, including COVID-conscious and infectious disease–mitigation practices.

Protecting the most vulnerable among us is a core part of my political and ethical commitment. Disabled lives are valuable and worth protecting, and I believe your life—and mine—deserve environments where safety and access are prioritized.

I look forward to offering my guidance and support through the transformative journey that is pregnancy, birth, postpartum and parenthood.
