Lavender Beginnings may offer sliding scale fee arrangements to clients who are experiencing financial hardship and are unable to afford the full cost of the Birth Support and/or Postpartum support packages.

Every birthing person deserves to receive the support they desire regardless of their financial status. A widening disparity in maternal morbidity and mortality in the United States makes continuous labor support from a doula or other labor support professional especially vital for Black, Indigenous, and birthing families of color. We understand that financial circumstances can change, and we honor the courage it takes to ask for support. Sliding scale options are offered on a limited basis and are determined through a confidential requesting process. Approval is based on current financial need and availability, with the goal of ensuring equitable access to doula care while sustaining our practice. Requesting sliding scale support does not require justification beyond sharing your current financial situation, and all inquiries are handled with care, respect, and discretion.
